“How can we share Jesus with the growing number of secular people who question, ignore, or reject beliefs about truth, morality, the Bible, and God that earlier generations built their lives on?”

The Hope Pavilion

“Raise the Roof” Fundraising Campaign

America has undergone a radical shift. Almost half of Generation Z (born 1997 through 2012) and millennials (born 1981 through 1996) mark the “none” box when it comes to claiming religious affiliation.

How can we share Jesus with the growing number of secular people who question, ignore, or reject beliefs about truth, morality, the Bible, and God that earlier generations built their lives on?

It starts with being a good friend and loving them!

Discipleship relationships start even before a friend or loved one accepts Christ.  There is rich meaning and purpose in your everyday interactions with nonbelievers, no matter where they are in their faith journey!   As you build trust over time, you open doors to share the Gospel.

We need to understand and address the underlying inconsistencies and idols at the heart of secular beliefs.  Our task is to create a safe place for reaching the next generation and others who would not walk into a church.

The process involves intentionality and radical dependence on the Holy Spirit and God to move.  It also involves authentic relationships and perceptive listening and communication skills while engaging our community.

The Hope Pavilion gives us an outdoor safe haven, where we can engage our community through events where we can progress from friendship conversations to spiritual conversations to Gospel conversations that transform lives.

What kind of events will there be at the pavilion?

Book Discussions

What an amazing time we had holding our book discussion on Putting An X Through Anxiety. People from all through our community heard about it, and stopped by each Saturday at 4:00 to share food and discussion under our little pop up tent. What a great event to stimulate belonging.

Prayer Meetings

On this field, in between two busy streets, stands our church family praying aloud for the people in our church and community. People stop and stare, and come over to see if we would pray for them. Praying outdoors under our little pop up tent has opened our eyes to just how much everybody needs prayers.

Worship Night

This will be a great attraction for our community to join in once a month to sing songs of hope, encouragement, and God’s love. Outdoor singing under our pavilion will be a big catalyst for bringing people together.

Outdoor Sunday Services

From Memorial Day to mid October we people will enjoy getting together outdoors under the Hope Pavilion to praise and worship together as a church family. This will attract people who aren’t currently attending a church in person. We will welcome all people with open and loving arms.

Pastor Joe and his wife have a heart for serving the needy in communities like Nanticoke. Through biblical counseling training, and years of experience working with thousands of people in recovery, they have realized that people need to be loved and nurtured before they can grow in faith.

Our prayer is that you will stand with us as we continue the work that God has placed in our hands.

Please reach out to Pastor Joe to hear straight from his heart why this is so important, and how you may be able to help us.

What are the possibilities for the future?

You have heard the stories of three people who have been saved and are going to get baptized this November. They have all been an active part of our church family and their lives are getting back on track. They are on fire for the Lord and are passionate to help others the same way they have been helped.

If these three have been helped, healed, and offered hope, all within this short window of what God is doing in our church, and they are only a fraction of the miracles, then what can we expect in the future? Perhaps hundreds will come to the Lord over the next five years as they did.

What a small amount of money to invest, considering the value of hundreds or thousands of saved souls!
